This period was marked by my\nseparation from family and from my native country, Spain \u2014 and by my father's suicide.\nSince I left Spain, I have compensated for the physical absence of my loved ones through\nthe creation of works that, through confining my body, function as thresholds between the (me)\nhere and the (they) there.
