Two particular sources for these lateral fields, \u201ctree rings\u201d and the edge effect, were studied using PhoSim, a novel Monte Carlo photon simulator, in order to isolate these effects and examine the extent and characteristics of their likely impact on astrometric measurements made by the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). Astrometric shift patterns were detected in fields of point sources of similar scale and behavior to those previously observed in Dark Energy Camera (DECam) CCDs for both effects. Organized shape distortions were also observed as a result of the directional nature of these effects."},{"label":"dcterms.available","value":"2017-09-26T16:38:51Z"},{"label":"dcterms.contributor","value":"Nomerotski, Andrei"},{"label":"dcterms.creator","value":"Beamer, Benjamin Daniel"},{"label":"dcterms.dateAccepted","value":"2017-09-26T16:38:51Z"},{"label":"dcterms.dateSubmitted","value":"2017-09-26T16:38:51Z"},{"label":"dcterms.description","value":"Department of Physics."},{"label":"dcterms.extent","value":"49 pg."},{"label":"dcterms.format","value":"Application/PDF"},{"label":"dcterms.identifier","value":"http://hdl.handle.net/11401/77811"},{"label":"dcterms.issued","value":"2015-05-01"},{"label":"dcterms.language","value":"en_US"},{"label":"dcterms.provenance","value":"Made available in DSpace on 2017-09-26T16:38:51Z (GMT).
