Mustafa Abbas, aka Roy, the nephew and adopted son of a powerful tribal leader, Sheik Khamis, is cast onto the streets after it's discovered that he assisted Sheik Khamis' rival, Lieutenant Fallon, a Marine infantry officer whose interpreter was assassinated by a roadside bomb.
