Westvaco Inspirations was a promotional magazine first published in 1925 by the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company. The main purpose of the magazine was to promote paper and to show an intricate relationship between print, paper and design. Bradbury Thompson was the designer for the magazine from 1939 to its final year of publication in 1962. This thesis shows how Thompson\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s designs promoted the quality of each particular paper brand and its effectiveness in presenting a printed image. The thesis aims to show that his designs combined the visual and the tactile in presenting paper as valuable material with unique aesthetic qualities."},{"label":"dcterms.available","value":"2017-09-20T16:51:21Z"},{"label":"dcterms.contributor","value":"Lutterbie, John"},{"label":"dcterms.creator","value":"Huh, Mi Seok"},{"label":"dcterms.dateAccepted","value":"2017-09-20T16:51:21Z"},{"label":"dcterms.dateSubmitted","value":"2017-09-20T16:51:21Z"},{"label":"dcterms.description","value":"Department of Art History and Criticism."},{"label":"dcterms.extent","value":"30 pg."},{"label":"dcterms.format","value":"Monograph"},{"label":"dcterms.identifier","value":"http://hdl.handle.net/11401/76869"},{"label":"dcterms.issued","value":"2015-12-01"},{"label":"dcterms.language","value":"en_US"},{"label":"dcterms.provenance","value":"Made available in DSpace on 2017-09-20T16:51:21Z (GMT).
