In this paper, the effects of the jet stagnation Knudsen number (Kns), the ratio of the stagnation-to-background pressure (Ps/Pb), and the distance between the jet orifices (L/D) were investigated for a range of these parameters. The background pressure has a very significant effect on the physics of flow, and the interactions between the two jets affect the location of the Mach disks for both the primary and secondary jets. When Ps/Pb is relatively large (Ps/Pb>200), the separation distance L/D has only a mild effect on the location of the Mach disk in the secondary jet. A study of the rotational-translational non-equilibrium showed large deviations between the translational and rotational temperatures in the vicinity of the orifice plate."},{"label":"dcterms.available","value":"2015-04-24T14:52:42Z"},{"label":"dcterms.contributor","value":"Shuryak, Edward"},{"label":"dcterms.creator","value":"Li, Wenhai"},{"label":"dcterms.dateAccepted","value":"2012-05-15T18:04:53Z"},{"label":"dcterms.dateSubmitted","value":"2012-05-15T18:04:53Z"},{"label":"dcterms.description","value":"Department of Mechanical Engineering"},{"label":"dcterms.format","value":"Monograph"},{"label":"dcterms.identifier","value":"http://hdl.handle.net/11401/72581"},{"label":"dcterms.issued","value":"2010-12-01"},{"label":"dcterms.language","value":"en_US"},{"label":"dcterms.provenance","value":"Made available in DSpace on 2015-04-24T14:52:42Z (GMT).
