This does\nnot mean that East Hampton's shore front does not suffer\n- \ufffd\ufffd from erosion. All beaches undergo seasonal changes.\nSand is removed from the beach by large winter waves and\nstored temporarily in offshore bars. In the summer when\nthe waves are less severe, the process is reversed and\nsand is returned to the beach.
